BRAND CONSULTATION AND CREATION

    01
    The client brief
Following a successful pitch, we were instructed to carry out a brand and cultural research study.

This was to be followed up with logo and visual communication concepts and full brand guidelines.

The aim of the research was to inform the setting of a new brand strategy (to be written by PO'Sh) with clear direction for business growth, brand and company-wide culture.

    02
    The creative response
We started with a comprehensive brand and business review, which outlined the need to communicate the business offer in a clearer way. We were also keen to provide them with a fresh new look and feel.

We devised a brand strategy document (based on the research report) that offered the business a new brand (moving to a multi-disciplinary), logo designs (parent and sub), values and new tagline and vision 'Placemaking for Life'.

We made key recommendations including creating a monolithic brand structure and styled their brand and sub-brands to ensure the biggest impact and flexibility, allowing them to compete at the highest level in their industry.

We created a bespoke and clever logo lock-up that represented the entire group disciplines. This clearly communicated who they are, what they do, and also allowed IDP to build a dynamic, professional and united brand.

    The client response

Thank you for the branding strategy session and all of the work that led up to this. The manner in which PO’Sh have captured and interpreted the “hot issues” of the internal and external face of IDP has resulted in an ideal set of recommendations. The measure of this was the silence and intent listening that you received from your audience. It was clear that you had listened to us so we listened to you, it was one of those rare moments where we find ourselves with nothing to say as it had already been said.

    Working it out
We met with all company directors, associate directors and departmental staff, as well as held client interviews and insights sessions to conduct our bespoke research (devised in-house at PO’Sh).

We visited their various UK wide office locations in the Midlands and Manchester over a 3 week period and carried out qualitative discussions, innovative brand activities and quantitative questionnaires.

We extracted key information, opinions and practices to be able to offer a new brand strategy and solution. We identified brand essence, vision, objectives, values, tone of voice, narrative and direction.

IDP received a full research report and a 25-page brand strategy.

This was presented by PO’Sh to all staff teams in detail to ensure buy-in and understanding. The final stage was working through our recommendations and applying the new brand it across all collateral.

    Did good things happen...
We successfully interpreted and consolidated our insightful data and used it to set key strategies for their brand moving forward. The teams were thrilled with the results and allowed them to move forward for the first time with a clear brand direction. The roll out of the brand has now been applied to brochures, all corporate collateral (stationery, internal documents etc) and a new website which PO'Sh delivered.

IDP now has a slick, contemporary brand that allows them to communicate their business offer, vision and above all enable their growth.
