SHARED OWNERSHIP ANIMATION

    The client brief
    Orbit approached PO'Sh wanting to create a 'Shared Ownership' campaign that stood out in a crowded space. 

    Many other shared ownership campaigns focussed on a traditional demographic, but often presented this amazing opportunity for many, as a boring explainer video. 

    We needed to excite the audience...

    The creative response
    'Excite the audience' was where we started, and lead the team to create a visual outcome that is ahead of the curve creatively. 

    The outcome was modern-retro in style, using flashes of light, moving outlines and thrilling neon - an execution that the client were over the moon with. 

    We wanted to show Orbit's customers how amazing the shared ownership offer is, and 'grab their eyeballs' as they browsed the web.

    The client response

    I've been desperate to see this, and I'm not disappointed!! It looks great! This has gone down so well internally, we’re really excited to be rolling this out.

    Working it out
    After carrying out a brand activity session with the digital team at Orbit – we felt that a innovative Shared Ownership campaign would not only support Orbit customers, but would be perfectly in-keeping with Orbit’s brand values and allow them to communicate they are leaders in shared ownership and are investing in communities and futures.
     
    We set about creating an animation that would help customers to digest what shared ownership was all about. We started by tailoring the messaging too, not only communicate Orbit’s message but offer a subtle nod to the Nation Federation of Housing’s campaign, as Orbit has specified that they wanted to collaborate.
     
    Our style, look and feel very much stretched the Orbit brand, this was a purposeful decision as we wanted to remove Orbit as far as possible from the common and typically dry and boring explainer animations out there. A lot of research identifying the existing ‘bad’ examples and some mood boarding - allowed us to find a style that would let Orbit stand out as leaders on shared ownership.
     
    We storyboarded, designed, animated, green screened and wrote all the copy for this project.
     
    In addition, we wrote a customer email, blog and a comprehensive social media content plan, detailing posts, links, hashtags etc – to support the campaign.

    Did good things happen...
    This campaign has had the most engagement for Orbit on their social channels this year and created many leads, which the client has been exceptionally pleased with. 

    The creative art style has been a huge success, and used for other collateral both internally and externally. Orbit asked us to create their Christmas message in this style too...

    Christmas Adaptation
    ... and to finish 2019 in style, we created this adaption of the Shared Ownership animation to create Orbit Home's Christmas message. 

    We used all of our new expertise from the main campaign to create this book end... reinforcing the campaign as a whole, utilising the style and creating posts and artwork for a strong social media presence too.
